Today I walk a different kind of stage. The stage today is a symbol of achievement and success. It represents a lifetime of triumph over not only essays, tests, but personal tribulations. Throughout my life I have experienced being torn down emotionally to the point that I lost my appetite and weighed under 100 pounds. I was unhealthy and I was unhappy. Despite the heartache, I am thankful for it all. I now appreciate the negative things in life as much as the positive things. I learned a lot sitting in classrooms. I learned about the world in a different view. I learned to think critically about the messages society sends me daily. I learned about inequities in this world and I learned about how beautiful and how destructive human nature can be. So I’m not discounting my college education, but I learned so much being faced with adversity. My voice is more than just a tool for laughter, sadness, or for singing…I learned to use my voice to STAND UP for what I want, and what I believe I deserve. I learned how to recognize when loyalty goes unreciprocated. I learned happiness is one thing you cannot and should not sacrifice. But the most important lesson I have learned while in college is MY WORTH. No matter what comes in this industry, my worth, my voice, and my integrity are things that it cannot take away from me. I graduate today from college and it’s the end of a wonderful four years but the start of the rest of my life. <3 Let the games begin.

She gained weight and recovered, so what?

She’s glowing, she looks feminine, she looks 1000x more confident and she just looks more… alive.

Recovery is worth it.

Okay, guys, I know I said I was going to bed but can I just point out one little thing here?

Do you notice how it’s blurry at the beginning and suddenly sharpens at the end?

When it’s blurry, it’s because when you’re in love, you supposedly don’t see anything other than the person you love.

And when it sharpens, it’s because the world has come back into focus now that their loved one is gone.
